Sherpa Marketing is committed to sharpen its specialization as an agriculture focused marketing services company. On the 5th of November, Sherpa, in partnership with Urban & Co. Inc. and DEKALB received an award for the DEKALB Seed Guide.
The Seed Guide is part of a larger initiative to drive marketing excellence through the use of technology. Leveraging Urban & Co. Inc.'s design and DEKALB’s outstanding vision and product portfolio, Sherpa created a secure e-commerce portal where DEKALB seed partners across Canada can login and create a seed guide customized to that retailer and the geographical area that they serve.
Through the Print on Demand system, the seed partners can upload a company logo, add their address and custom message that’s printed inline. Moreover, they can also select the seed hybrids that are best suited for sale to growers in their area. By doing so, irrelevant varieties are excluded from the brochure – saving paper and confusion around variety choices.
This program is in its third year and coupled with the DEKALB Seed Guide Application (need link to app) the goal is to facilitate the printing of as few as 25 custom guides by location and to reduce the page count, ink and energy required to print in addition to decreasing the amount of waste brochures.
By making the same data available through an iPhone and Android app, the number of brochures being printed is also reduced.
