The Junior Account Manager will assist Account Managers and will be the secondary contact for Sherpa’s Clients seeking unique and effective marketing solutions. The Junior Account Manager role holds challenging and diverse responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creativity, analytical/strategic thinking, clear and strong written and oral communication skills are critical to your success

  • Managing a multitude of projects, you will keep tasks perfectly organized and tracking toward successful on-time and on-budget completion
  • Present creative work, timelines and quotes to the Client for approval
  • Work with the Sherpa internal teams and Account Managers, to assist with the formulation of marketing strategies and campaigns across multiple communication channels and platforms (e.g. direct mail, email, web, mobile, social media, apps and sentiment tracking)
  • Ensure that all strategies and tactics are consistent with the Client’s brand experience, product/service positioning and messaging
  • Communicate the Client’s feedback to the creative and technology/development departments
  • Undertake administrative tasks; maintain ongoing status reports, etc. • Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and provide metric reporting for campaigns
  • Assist with the preparation of briefing documents, wireframes and initiation of new projects for the Client
  • Work with vendors to obtain pricing that helps maximize profits and market share for Sherpa and its Clients. You must ensure that each project mutually benefits both the Client and Sherpa
  • Exceptional computer skills (MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Acrobat, Internet Search) give you the best chance to succeed in your day to day work and to move ahead within the Sherpa organization
  • Note the position does require occasional days where tasks will extend beyond regular office hours and may involve travel to various events, meetings, and Client locations

Other Duties as Required

  • Assist with internal marketing tactics. Writing case studies and content for Sherpa’s blog and website
  • Sherpa is a growing company. As with all growing companies, employees are expected to help fill any gaps in work as each person’s capabilities allow

Your Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of marketing experience
  • Degree/Diploma in Marketing/Advertising or Business

Digital Marketing

Digital Marketing Specialist - Winnipeg, Manitoba

What You Get to Do

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, it is your role to support Sherpa’s internal departments that help support the growth of the company and our clients. This role requires a strong understanding and knowledge of website development, UX/UI design, inbound marketing tactics (such as SEO, PPC, Social Media, etc.), as well as the ability to uphold Sherpa’s quality customer service and project management for our clients.

You’ll be able to help grow and shape Sherpa’s Business Intelligence department, and work directly with our clients to build digital marketing strategies and tactics that positively drive web traffic, social engagement and conversions. A portion of your tasks may include the creation of content marketing plans that positively increase exposure and new business for our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help map our clients “customer journey” and plan digital campaigns as it relates to the strategy, tactics, and KPIs for measurement.
  • Ongoing planning, management, and optimization of PPC campaigns for both Sherpa and our clients.
  • Creation, capture and editing of original content for internal and external marketing
  • Work directly with our Social Media Coordinator and Account Managers to help plan, execute and measure monthly social media plans.
  • Project manage digital campaigns from strategy to execution.
  • Work with our Business Intelligence team to extract data that measures the campaign and business KPIs.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, with in-depth insights and recommendations, for the Account Managers and their clients.
  • Work with our internal teams to ensure personal URLs, handles, hashtags and phone numbers are being tracked and measured for all outgoing marketing materials (traditional and digital).
  • Work with internal web development teams to understand metrics that drive the wireframing and website UI design process (3D – Data Driven Design).

Your Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience working in an agency or client environment fulfilling tasks as described in this document
  • Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Business, Creative Communications
  • Ability to work directly with clients and provide exceptional quality service and while managing deadlines and expectations
  • Ability to manage projects with tight and demanding deadlines
  • Certified Experience with Google Analytics and Google AdWords is a must.
  • Working Experience with Google Webmaster Tools and Tag Manager.
  • Experience managing budgets for paid media in both a social media and search engine setting. - Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Other Duties / Bonus Skills

  • Understanding of Python, R/R Studio, SQL or related statistical background
  • Understanding of SEM Rush, AWR Cloud, MOZ or other SEO tools to stay current with latest search engine algorithm changes
  • Working knowledge of Adobe products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Audition
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Spotfire, Tableau, Cognos or MS Excel
