Duties & Responsibilities
  • Creativity, analytical/strategic thinking, clear and strong written and oral communication skills are critical to your success.
  • You are a relationship-builder, one who inspires teamwork and creativity within Sherpa Marketing.
  • Understand the Sherpa and First Descent brands. Ensure all communications, experience, product/ service positioning and messaging reflect our brands and guide us as we evolve. Ensure that all strategies and tactics are consistent with our brands.
  • Managing a multitude of internal projects, you will keep tasks perfectly organized and tracking toward successful on-time and on-budget completion.
  • Present creative work, timelines, and estimated costs to CEO/General Manager for approval.
  • Develop and keep internal marketing plans up to date.
  • Develop internal marketing strategies and campaigns across multiple communication channels and platforms (e.g. direct mail, email, web, mobile, social media, videos, apps).
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence platforms, with strength in Google Ads and Analytics being of use.
  • Communicate CEO/General Manager feedback to the creative and technology/development departments.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of internal marketing campaigns and provide metric reporting for campaigns on a regular basis to CEO/General Manager.
  • Assist with the preparation of briefing documents, wireframes, and initiation of new internal projects.
  • Keep up to date on the latest social media platforms and make recommendation to use new ones when they arise.
  • Exceptional computer skills (MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Acrobat, Internet Search) give you the best chance to succeed
  • In your day to day work and to move ahead within the Sherpa organization.
  • Organize work and timelines for the Digital Marketing Coordinator, who will assist you one day per week.
  • Note the position does require occasional days where tasks will extend beyond regular office hours and may involve travel to various events, meetings, and client locations. Occasional travel may also be required.
  • Perform analysis of KPI’s on Sherpa’s different marketing channels and conduct analysis that leads to insights and recommendations.

Other Duties as Required
  • Assist Digital Marketing group with digital marketing tactics on an as needed basis.
  • Assist with occasional marketing tactics and quality assurance for clients.
  • Undertake administrative tasks; maintain ongoing status reports, etc.
  • Writing and organizing case studies and content for Sherpa’s blog and website.
  • Sherpa is a growing company. As with growing companies, employees are expected to help fill any gaps in work as each person’s capabilities allow.

Your Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of marketing experience.
  • Experience with visual design and media production.
  • Experience managing websites.
  • Degree/Diploma in Marketing/Advertising, Communications or Business.
  • Have a can-do attitude and be able to solve problems.
  • Ability to manage projects with tight and demanding timelines.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  • Willingness to test new channels, build marketing experiments and learn new technology.
