Art Director/Senior Designer

  • You have 7+ years of advertising experience working as a graphic designer at an agency, as well as a post-secondary diploma/degree in graphic design
  • You’re creative, a communicator, troubleshooter, analytical, and have great time management and interpersonal skills
  • You’re familiar working as part of an art director/writer team but are also self-driven and can work independently
  • You bring a great portfolio of campaign work
  • You are adept at translating a brief into brilliant advertising concepts and can execute from start to finish always considering next steps
  • You work within budgets and deadlines and can juggle several
    tasks at once.
  • You have a strong competency in Adobe Creative Suite, but get bonus points for having diverse skill sets

This is a Senior position, requiring experience working in an agency environment. Reporting to the Creative Director, the Art Director/Senior Graphic Designer will also work collaboratively with other members of the McKim.Sherpa team taking part in brainstorms, creative development and the production process. The Art Director/Senior Graphic Designer will have many projects under their belt, and will have strong leadership skills.

Account Manager 

McKim.Sherpa is a fully integrated, full-service advertising agency that works with major clients locally, across Canada, and around the world. 

Recognized and awarded internationally for our work, McKim.Sherpa's expertise includes advertising, branding, strategy, digital marketing, media placement, social, web development and PR.  

We are looking to hire an experienced Account Manager to become part of our growing, dynamic, and creative environment. As the ideal candidate, you will display exceptional customer service skills and a strong sense of business acumen. You will also have experience leading the process of creating effective marketing programs in multiple media, as well as proven project management abilities.  

Typically managing a client portfolio of accounts, you will work closely with industry-leading strategic, creative, digital and web development teams to develop innovative campaigns for a broad range of clients.    

Your primary role will be to assist clients in identifying their needs, and then, in collaboration with agency teams, implementing and executing strategies and tactics specific to client assignments to achieve results.  

Responsibilities 

  • Foster strong relationships with agency clients that result in ongoing revenue growth  
  • Manage client projects from inception to completion  
    Participate in the development of strategic plans, new business proposals and presentations  
  • Collaborate with the agency’s creative, digital, strategic, web development and media departments to fulfil client engagement objectives

Qualifications 

  • Proven track record working within a full-service advertising agency 
  • A marketing/business degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or a combination of education and experience  
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills and proven written and oral communication abilities  
  • A high degree of business acumen  
  • Understanding of the advertising process and related disciplines  
  • Experience working on campaigns that involve a broad range of media  
  • Demonstrated success working as a leader of teams and working with mid to senior level executives

Senior Motion Graphic Designer

Job Summary and Scope

Reporting to the Creative Director, you will work collaboratively with other members of the Sherpa.McKim team to create and deliver complex graphics, animation, and live video content for a diverse array of media, including smartphones, handheld electronic devices, the web and television, among others, from conceptualization to storyboard and editing.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Developing, testing, documenting, and deploying high performance creative that drives ROI for Sherpa.McKim’s clients using a variety of tools and techniques
  • Ability to tell stories through creative execution of graphic design, video, and illustration
  • Build animatics and storyboards
  • Collaborate with art directors on conceptualizing and ensuring brand consistency
  • Edit music, SFX and VOs to work with visuals, with precise timing
  • Working independently
  • Ensuring projects meets company standards and client goals
  • Deliver tasks within given deadlines and budgets

Required Competencies

  • Strong typography skills
  • Great portfolio of work
  • Creativity
  • Excellent communication, time management, troubleshooting, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Diligence and commitment to Quality quality Assurance assurance and self-assessment of your own work

Technical Requirements

  • Adobe Creative Suite – Premiere, After Effects, Animate, Photoshop, Illustrator

  • Understanding of special effects, 3D and compositing
